Queen of Katwe Movie Trailer
Queen of Katwe tells the story of
Phiona Mutesi (Madina Nalwanga), a Ugandan
chess prodigy who grew up in the slums of
Katwe. After dropping out of school around
the age of 6 because her mom could not
afford to send her, Phiona discovered
chess through a program operated by the
Sports Outreach Institute. In the
Queen of Katwe trailer, Lupita
Nyong'o portrays her mother Harriet and
David Oyelowo is her chess instructor
Robert Katende.
