This Is Your Life: Desmond Doss Episode

On February 18, 1959, Desmond T. Doss appeared on this episode of the This Is Your Life television program hosted by Ralph Edwards. Doss, who is the subject of Mel Gibson's 2016 film Hacksaw Ridge, refused to bear arms during World War II due to his religious and personal convictions. During this Desmond Doss interview, he is reunited with several people he knew during the war, including Captain Jack Glover and Commander Gerald Cooney, who had at one point considered kicking Doss out of the army.
