Desmond Doss Interview - Medal of Honor
While under constant fire on Okinawa, army
medic Desmond Doss single-handedly rescued
75 wounded troops and lowered them down a
cliff face to safety. Making his feat even
more impressive is that he did it without
carrying a gun to defend himself. In this
Desmond Doss Medal of Honor interview, he
talks about why he refused to bear arms
during WWII. Near the end, he opens up
about what it was like to receive the
Medal of Honor from President Truman.
