Frank Mundus Sets Record for Largest Shark Ever Caught by Rod and Reel

On August 6, 1986, Frank Mundus and Don Braddick caught a 3,427-pound great white shark roughly 28 miles off the coast of Montauk, New York. Mundus had his pick of roughly six to eight great white sharks that were feeding on a dead whale.
