Will Smith portrays Dr. Bennet Omalu, the
forensic pathologist and neuropathologist
who discovered Chronic Traumatic
Encephalopathy (CTE) in the brains of
several NFL players. At least two of those
players committed suicide, which was
believed to be directly related to
depression caused by CTE. The
Concussion movie trailer shows
Will Smith's character facing blowback
from the NFL following the announcement of
his discovery.
