Vinny Pazienza vs. Roger Mayweather Fight (1988)
Vinny Pazienza takes on Roger Mayweather
in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 11, 1988 for
the WBC Light Welterweight World
Championship. Pazienza lost the fight in
12 rounds by unanimous decision. After the
fight, Vinny collapsed in the dressing
room from severe dehydration. He was
rushed to the hospital and nearly died.
During that time period, Vinny had been
struggling to make weight for his fights.
