The Name of the Rose Trailer
Screenwriter James Wan has stated that
The Nun movie was inspired by the
1986 Sean Connery movie
The Name of
the Rose. In that film, a friar
(Connery) and his apprentice Adso
(Christian Slater) travel to a medieval
abbey in Italy to investigate the
suspicious death of a monk. They must
uncover whether the monk's death is the
result of foul play or a more sinister
force. The movie trailer offers a look at
the danger that the two men quickly find
themselves in.
