Rolling Stone reporter
David Lipsky (Jesse Eisenberg) took with
author David Foster Wallace (Jason Segel)
during Wallace's publicity tour for his
novel
Infinite Jest. Following
Wallace's 2008 suicide, Lipsky published a
transcription of his recorded interviews
with the author, titled
Although of Course You
End Up Becoming Yourself, on
which the movie is based.
