offers a fictionalized retelling of the
origins of the opioid crisis in America,
highlighting the stories of victims,
perpetrators, and whistleblowers whose
lives are forever changed by the creation
of OxyContin. The series focuses on
Richard Sackler (Matthew Broderick) and
the Sackler family's pharmaceutical
company, Purdue Pharma, the manufacturer
of OxyContin.
