Jose Hernandez Space Shuttle Discovery Landing Mission STS-128
Jose Hernandez and the rest of the crew of
Space Shuttle
Discovery land at
Edwards Air Force Base in California on
September 12, 2009 to complete a 14-day
journey that took them to the
International Space Station.
Discovery traveled a total
distance of 5.7 million miles. They were
initially scheduled to land at Kennedy
Space Center in Florida but bad weather in
the Sunshine State forced them to change
the landing to Edwards.
