Jann Mardenborough Crash at the Nurburgring
Driving his Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 at the
Nürburgring, Jann Mardenborough's car
catches air as it goes over the infamous
jump crest in the Flugplatz section. It
travels approximately 100 feet in a
vertical position before striking the wall
at an estimated speed of 125 mi/h. The car
then cartwheels over the wall and over the
main catch fence. It tumbles along the
hillside before coming to a rest upside
down and against the fence. Jann
Mardenborough's crash left one spectator
dead and several others injured.
Mardenborough suffered minor injuries and
spent the following day in the hospital
for treatment and observation.
