Detroit, which
tells the story of the Algiers Motel
incident during the 1967 Detroit riots. A
riot task force killed three black males
and left two white females and seven other
black males beaten, some badly. Bigelow's
film attempts to make audiences aware of
what likely happened at the motel, in
addition to the cover up that followed.
