John Smith Drowning 911 Call
Listen to the actual 911 call that alerted
emergency crews to the John Smith drowning
on Lake Sainte Louise in Missouri on
January 19, 2015. John and two friends,
Josh Rieger and Joshua Sander, had
ventured onto the ice, which had melted
some in the warmer weather. As the ice
broke under them, all three boys ended up
in the water. Josh's sister, Jamie Rieger,
made the initial 911 call, which was then
taken over by the manager of a nearby
apartment complex who had witnessed the
accident.
