7 Days in Entebbe stars Daniel Brühl and Rosamund Pike as two of the four terrorists who hijacked Air France Flight 139 in 1979 as it was en route from Tel Aviv to Paris. The terrorists demanded the release of 53 Palestinian and pro-Palestinian militants, most of whom were being held by Israel. After diplomatic efforts collapsed, the Israeli government used IDF commandos to carry out a hostage rescue operation, which was dubbed Operation Entebbe after the location where the hostages were being held.
