the real-life story of the Coast Guard's
1952 rescue mission to save the lives of a
sinking oil tanker that split apart during
a powerful winter storm. Chris Pine
portrays Bernard Webber, the Coast
Guardsman who led the mission to rescue
the crew of the tanker
Pendleton.
The Finest Hours movie trailer
offers a glimpse at the heroism involved
in the rescue attempt, both on the part of
the Coast Guard and also the men stranded
on the sinking ships.
