The Command tells the
story of the ill-fated Russian
Kursk submarine, which sunk after
an explosion during a training exercise in
2000. Russia received heavy criticism for
their delayed and rather inept response to
the disaster, which likely cost more crew
members their lives. Colin Firth portrays
Commodore David Russell, a member of the
Royal Navy who was in charge of the
British rescue efforts to assist the
submarine
Kursk.
