Crime: A Postmodern Murder Mystery"
published in 2008. It focused on Polish
author Krystian Bala, who was convicted of
murdering a Polish small business owner
named Dariusz Janiszewski. Jim Carrey
plays a Polish detective named Tadek, who
begins connecting the dots between the
author and the murder after it is
discovered that the murder is identical to
a character's murder in the author's
recently published novel .
