Billie Jean King Interview about Battle of the Sexes
40 years later, tennis legend Billie Jean
King looks back on her historic Battle of
the Sexes tennis match against Bobby
Riggs, who was 26 years her senior. In the
interview, King says she was good friends
with Riggs, and even talked to him the
night before he died from prostate cancer,
telling each other they love one another.
She reflects on what the Battle of the
Sexes match meant for women, tennis and
gender equality.
